Youth Turning Introduction The Ohio Valley Woodturner’s Guild, in co-operation with Rockler Woodworking Tri-County, is conducting a series of FREE woodturning sessions for kids ages 10-17. These one day, two hour sessions will give each participant a hands on opportunity to experience the joys of woodturning. Available dates are April 7, May 5 or June 2, 2012, morning or afternoon. Everyone will have their own lathe and tools to work on, and an experienced turner to assist them at all times. There will be a limit of six students per session with a student to mentor ratio of 2-1. No prior woodworking experience is necessary. Safety face shields and project materials will be provided. For contact, sign-up and more details, please read the full information document here. Once you have your student(s) signed up, please send in a parental release form, available here. |
