On May 24, 2004 the Ohio Valley Woodturners Guild, OVWG, presented the New Richmond High woodworking program a gift of $1100.00 in woodworking lathe accessories, and tooling to be used for turning instruction. The Woodcraft Store, Fairfield provided a contribution of a purchase discount .

The Guild group also demonstrated tool sharpening for the instructors and student present at this presentation. Each school year the Guild provides turning demonstrations at the school.
