A Yahoo group is a utility that allows you to post an Email to the group and all members of the group will receive it. To Join the group, you must sign up with a free Yahoo account, but you can use a different Email account to send the OVWG messages to. Please sign up and we'll see if we can get it off the ground! Upcoming Events

On Saturday, May 17 at Northminster church, we will be hosting Bill Grumbine from Kutztown, PA demonstrating various ways to turn simple and complex bowls the easy and efficient way.

Bill has been professionally turning wood since 1995. He operates “Wonderful Wood”
www.wonderfulwood.com, where he specializes in woodturning, teaching and custom furniture. “Turned Bowls Made Easy” and “Beyond the Basic Bowl” are two great DVDs which he has produced.

He will show us all how to turn both basic and fancy bowls and will demo his “banana bowl”. In addition he will demonstrate tool technique and talk about gouge sharpening. This is going to be a wonderful day both for beginners and advanced turners.

Bill is said to be a turner who other turners look up to (he’s really tall) and he has an amazing sense of humor. Start doing your abdominal exercises so you will be in shape to laugh all day with him.

OVWG Meetings & Goals

The OVWG meets the 3rd Saturday of every month from September to June, excluding December. Special meetings may be held in the summer.

Our members primarily come from southeastern Indiana, northern Kentucky, and southwestern Ohio.

Our mission is to provide education, information, and organization to people in this area interested in the art and craft of woodturning.

Guild meetings are open to the public and anyone may attend a meeting. Some meetings have a fee payable at meeting start.
