Turning 2005 Photos
A series of candid photos of the Symposium
Turning 2007 - October 12-14
The Ohio Valley Wooodturners Guild announces its 5th biennial symposium.
  • 8 featured turners
  • 25 hours of guest turners
  • Instant Gallery
  • Trade Show
  • Evening entertainment
  • Saturday banquet & auction
Location
The symposium will again be held at The Higher Ground Conference & Retreat Center, West Harrison, Indiana.
Higher Ground is located just off I-74 at the Ohio/Indiana border, about 30 minutes from Cincinnati. Note that Higher Ground is in the Eastern time zone, and will be on Daylight Savings Time.
Facility Update
Shown above is the new extended Higher Ground Life Center. The new building addition starts approximately at the flag pole on the right hand side. The new addition, seperated inside, will house the vendor area and the remaining building will contain the six demonstration sites. This will greatly reduce distractions during the demonstrations. A new covered external rest area is being built at the end of the right hand side of the building. Another building is under construction to house a special evening woodturning demonstration. The instant gallery will move to the renovated barn which will provide additional space and improved layout. A large van will be available to transport people to the dining hall, (no parking allowed at the dining hall except handicap).
