 WHAT'S UP

The OVWG works better when everyone participates.

A few days ago I asked the OVWG members to donate whatever supplies you had for the hospitals to use. I heard from some of you apologizing for not having very many items to donate. Woodturners don't hoard supplies at the same rate we hoard wood! Well, Johnny and I just dropped off the supplies that were donated. Your little bit here and there added up! There were enough supplies that the nurse needed a cart to carry them all back into the hospital. In addition to the many boxes of gloves, there was several packages of new and unopened N95 masks plus several partial packages of masks. There were numerous containers of sanitizers. The members of the OVWG came through! To help with the collection of all the donations there were several members that allowed their homes to be the drop off points. I also heard from several other members that donated directly to a hospital and one member is very busy making the cloth masks that the hospitals are using. This is a great group of people to be a part of!

Another bit of news. Our Web Master, Gene, has created some forums for us to use and stay in touch with each other. These forums are very easy to use. Sign in on the web site. On the home page look at the tabs going across the page and you will see "forum". Click on that and it will take you to the page where you can pick which forum you want to participate in. Gene has put a brief description with each forum. Gene has posted a picture of a Gerstner Tool Chest he has recently purchased. Anyone else have Gerstner? Let's see it! Each one of these tool chest usually have a great story that goes with them.
How about doing a version of our Show-N-Tell table? It's very easy to post a picture of what you've been working on since our last meeting.

See you soon.
