 WHAT'S UP

The OVWG works better when everyone participates.

The voting ballots have been mailed. There is a stamped return envelope included so you can mail back your vote. Please respond as soon as you receive your ballot. David Wright, OVWG Secretary, has taken on this massive job. He has created the ballots and prepared all the envelopes and will do the counts. When you send your ballots back, how about telling David "Thank You".

I'm sure everyone is anxiously waiting for things to get back to some degree of normal.    The OVWG has cancelled all activities until at least July 1st. The Kennedy Heights Center has informed me that they will remain closed until the Governor gives them the approval to open the center. We are looking forward to the time when we can once again offer all the services that members have utilized in the past.    Your membership entitles you to member to member taught classes many of which are free. Numerous free activities in the Learning Center such as Jam Sessions and open shops. Free mentoring services and connecting to other wood turners for wood sources. Professional level classes taught by world class turners with fees that are subsidized to keep your cost low. We plan to continue to offer you some of the best value that any club can offer.

The new forums have been very active. Show N Tell forum is a fun place that allows us to show what we've been working on in the shop. A new category has been created for the 2021 symposium. James Brenza, Symposium Chairman, has posted several areas for the members to put in your two cents. Take advantage of this opportunity to tell him what you would like to experience at the next symposium.
