Appalachian Festival
Time is moving on and before long the OVWG will be at the 51st Annual Appalachian Festival.  After a two year break the Festival is back on and we are ready to share in the experience.  There are a couple of changes this year - one is that the Festival will only be for two days, Saturday May 7th and Sunday May 8th  - the second is that we will be in a different location.  We will be located in the Wildcat facility which is a permanent structure right next to where our tent was before.  We will be doing setup Friday afternoon so come on down and help out with getting things in place.  The hours for the two days are 10:00 am to 9:00 pm on Saturday and 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday.  As always we will have lathes set up for our members to demonstrate to the public the art of woodturning.  The Festival is a great time to interact with the public, promote the craft and have a great time.  Please contact Mary Carol Meinken or myself to volunteer to demonstrate since we like to have the lathes going all the time.  Hope to see you there on Mothers Day Weekend.
