APPALACHIAN FESTIVAL
As we have done for the past several years, the OVWG will be participating in the annual Appalachian Festival again this year. The Festival is held at Coney Island. This year's 52nd Annual Appalachian Festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 13th and 14th, 2023. OVWG will have a large covered area where we will be demonstrating woodturning and selling turned items. If you want to be a vendor you must register and pay the rental fee for the space. The fee for the two days is $80.00 for the space only and $20.00 for table rentals. You can go to our website to register and pay the fees. Just click on the event on the calendar and the process is the same as if registering for a class. As always, we need members to volunteer to do demonstrations during the two days of the event. It is a great time to interact with the public and help promote the craft of woodturning. To volunteer to be a demonstrator, you can register on the website also. Obviously, there is no cost involved in being a demonstrator, but to keep all the information in one place, we added the ability to volunteer to the website.
