About this event
Lidded box with pedestal and carved Kingfisher feather.
This is a 7” tall box with a turned lid.
The finial was drilled at an angle to fit the 2-part feather.
The feather was power-carved and painted with a transparent painting technique. It resembles the shape and color of the Kingfisher bird often found near rivers.
