Promoting the art and craft of wood turning in the greater Cincinnati area

New Member Class
16 New Members joined us Sunday for a presentation and demonstration on Chain Saw safety and procedures for preparing bowl blanks given by Kurt Foglesong.  John Albachten then shared how to safely prepare blanks on the band saw and the various ways to secure a blank to the lathe.   Attendees also had a chance to review the details of the OVWG's finances and the assumptions that guide our operations.

Coming in November
Jacques Vesery
Artist and Sculptor
His art is known around the world.

From the rush to sign up for his class, he is also well known by OVWG members! Jacques is  here for  a two day class and there are only a few spots still available. He will also be the featured turner at the November meeting. We expect there will be a large crowd to take advantage of this opportunity. Come early to get a good seat.
