What is this?
Learn how to make vessels like this. WOW!
Sammy will teach how to layout and carve spirals on hollow form vessels.
Participants in a spiral carving class will need to have a dry hollow form with a 3/8th inch wall thickness. They will also need a carver with more torque such as a Foredom Flexshaft a selection of carving burrs for the Foredom.
MDI Woodcarvers Supply can be contacted to order burs needed for each participant. They have a set designed for my classes.
The setup for the class will be 6 or 8 foot tables to accommodate 2 participants per table. Each table will need a power strip. Adjustable chairs are recommended. Lights will be needed for each participant. Sammy will furnish sand bags. If you have your own please bring it. Lathes will be used in this spiral carving class.
