What is this?
Learn how to carve leaves like this. WOW!
Sammy will teach how to layout and carve leaves. This will be practice on a block of Cherry. The technique can them be applied to any form.
Sammy will furnish materials for the leaf carving class but
participants will need to have a detail carver and burr set
. He will have a few loaner carvers and a few sets of burrs that can be used but not enough for a class.
Burrs can be purchased from MDI Woodcarvers supply. Just call Wayne there and he knows what I use.
The setup for the classes will be 6 or 8 foot tables to accommodate 2 participants per table. Each table will need a power strip. Adjustable chairs are recommended. Lights will be needed for each participant. I will furnish sand bags
